Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering simply known as GATE is a major exam that takes place widely in 8 zones of India. The Exam Pattern of UGC NET 2018
According to the latest official notification released by CBSE, the UGC exam pattern of 2018 has undergone a great change. There will be two papers—Paper I and Paper II—which will be conducted in two sessions. Candidates are required to appear for these two papers in order to be appointed as Assistant Professor and JRF (Junior Research Fellowships). Paper I tests candidates’ comprehension, reasoning ability, general awareness and divergent thinking. In Paper II, all the questions will be mandatory, covering whole syllabus of Paper II and Paper III. For every right answer, two marks will be awarded. There is no negative marking in this exam. So, candidates should not leave any question unattempted.

The UGC NET Syllabus
According to the latest reports, UGC has decided to introduce the new syllabus for NET for the first time in a decade. For this purpose, it has established 25 committees for revising the syllabus of various subjects. Since there are 90 subject included in UGC NET exam, more committees will be set in order to cover all subjects.
At the present time, all committees are busy making the syllabus for various subjects. As soon as they are made, they will be sent to the council for approval. On being approved, a final decision will be taken for implementation of syllabus.
UGC has taken decision to revise the NET syllabus in order to bring alterations in what is taught in different colleges and universities. This decision has been taken to make sure that the changed syllabus fulfills the present requirements of higher education.
